Did you know that @purism is working towards a new release for the #Librem5 #FOSS phone?

The name of this new version is #Crimson. Crimson will be the next version of the PureOS #Linux distribution for the Librem 5.

#Purism only earns once money on their sell of a #phone, because Purism is not selling your data.

Since July 2024 you can take an optional subscription to advance the #PureOS development.

Since then there has been a monthly report on the progress.

It came down to the wire but I did manage to finish a Week One PineNote video: https://makertube.net/w/cSDcWZVjFksZsxpPx5yo8j

@PINE64 has created an excellent device and the community around it is awesome, kind, and super helpful. There are rough edges for sure but it is totally usable out of the box and I'll go into application specific configuration in future posts/videos as long as people find this useful. Let me know what you'd like to see!

I created a crib sheet for the #Helix text editor:

bobulous.org.uk/coding/Helix-c

As usual I intended the new page to be compact and concise; and as usual it ended up being huge and rambling. Hopefully it'll still be of use to people who aren't fully familiar with the most useful keys and commands. (And just maybe of vague interest to #Neovim users who are thinking about trying Helix.)

Let me know if you spot anything incorrect.
