#PureMaps

@dan
to visually follow a .gpx track, i use #osmin on #linuxmobile if you want to have active navigation on your imported track, use #puremaps (but not possible to just display it)
osmin is nice to see cyclepaths while puremaps is better to display drinkingwater/shelters.
there is also #mepo which, if you can code, could use some nice patches (join the dev channel)!

For those with a #librem5 , we just added gnss-share and the ability to create encrypted Mobian images for the Librem 5!

I tested gnss-share with #puremaps , and it works great with car/bike/walking navigation.

Please note that by default, we will not provide images for encrypted images by default, we will only provide an image to make encrypted filesystems with the installer. We do this to prevent everyone having the same encryption key for their image.

@zachdecook @linmob
any luck on compiling organicmaps?

@Saroufim
Gnome Maps is not usable at all!

I am doing #bikepacking with a #pinephone,
#PureMaps is quite nice when you have mobile data on (and a signal) also with displaying height maps and cycling routes, but it eats your battery crazy fast. Did mount a solar panel onto the handlebar, but with the wanky usb-c plug it did not charge at all.... digging on a hardware solution for this, but missing any offline map with height lines...
