I installed 4 new SSDs (6 in total) in my based on the @PINE64 board as an experiment!

2 x 1TB in btrfs mirror mode for various services and docker. Currently running my @matrixdotorg home server.

4 x 1TB in RAID5 for data storage.

@JF out of curiosity how much raw IO throughput does the Quartz handle and does it max out the CPU?

Also what chip set/interface card are you using?

(Currently playing around with repurposing a "LeMaker Banana Pro" for remote backup purposes, iscsi and "phoning home" with a ssh tunnel.... The max "dd" disk IO is not particular fast (and uses a lot of CPU power), and its dual 1GHz CPU also has to handle ssh encryption on top of that)

@talpa I haven't any specific benchmark yet. The RAID is still initializing so it might take some time.

Is there any benchmark or test you would want me to run?

@JF I usually just dd to and from the disk with smaller and lager block sizes to see how much raw performance one can get (without any FS overhead)
